Our brand-new European Airspace Training, available in person and online, provides a comprehensive and practical introduction to how European airspace is structured, managed and regulated, with a specific focus on the implications for UAS and drone operations in European airspace.
Through a combination of theoretical foundations, regulatory context and real-world case studies, this training enables attendees to understand how ATM and UTM airspace, airspace classifications and Flight Procedure Design (FPD) interact in day-to-day operations.
Participants will explore key European airspace regulations, operational characteristics, airspace management concepts, the basics of FPD, and an introduction to the ICAO Performance-Based Navigation (PBN) concept, all within the framework of modern Air Navigation Services (ANS).
The course also outlines the key official information UAS operators need to know when implementing their flights, such as useful information on AIPs, national regulations, specific web applications, and how to request flights.
